This is just something that Mike and I made up. No recipe, just throw in whatever you got.
2 boxes of chicken broth
1 whole roasted chicken, shredded and deboned
3 medium zuchinni, diced
3 medium yellow squash, diced
1 medium onion, diced
2 cans of diced tomatoes
1 bag of frozen corn
1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed
salt, pepper, cumin, garlic powder, and chopped fresh cilantro–all to taste
Put all ingredients in a large soup pot and simmer until veggies are tender. Season to taste. Cilantro is optional–many people don’t like the taste. Garnish with crushed tortilla chips, grated cheese, and sour cream.
Fluffy fruit salad
1 large box of frozen strawberries, thawed and drained
1 can of crushed pineapple, drained
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
1 large container of cool whip
Mix fruit and milk until well combined. Fold in cool whip. Chill well before serving. You can add or substitute any fruits that you prefer.
1 package of vanilla almond bark
2 packages of pretzel rods
heat half the almond bark in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Stir then heat for another 30 seconds to 1 minute. Stir until smooth. Dip pretzels in bark and place on wax paper to dry.
