This past weekend was the state math and science meet. The boy had qualified for the state meet back in February. He was very excited and very nervous. The mr. and I had agreed to be sponsors/chaperones for the trip. We got up at 4:30 a.m.!!!! And you KNOW I don’t believe in getting up and leaving my house in the dark!!! But I did it for my kid. We had to be at the school at 5:45 and the buses pulled out at 6:00. We got to San Antonio at about 10:30. We went to the hotel so the kids could drop off their luggage. Then we loaded them all back up and hauled them out to Sea World. The kids were allowed to go around the park in groups and parents checked in with them via text and cell calls. Cici’s pizza was scheduled for dinner, an hour and a half for practice and then another hour and a half of free time in the pool. Lights out at 10.
Then the next morning we were up before 6 again because the kids had to be on the bus at 7:00. We go tthem over to UTSA and into the holding room where they started practicing. The boy’s test was done at 10:15 so we planned to go eat and maybe do a little shopping or whatever before the awards ceremony at 3:00. BUT, the coaches kept saying that it looked like the awards were going to be earlier then scheduled, much earlier. So we ran and got something to eat then got right back to the university by noon. And then spent the next 3 1/2 hours waiting for the awards to start. Blech!!!!
But then something really great happened…my baby got 3rd place!!!! He is so awesome and his daddy and I are so proud of him.  There were about 18 other schools in our school’s group and he got 3rd place!! Way to go baby!

He just about DIED when I made him stop and let me take this picture.  “Mooo—ooomm!!”

Needless to say the three of us were exahusted when we got home.  Right after the awards we hit the road to get back home (we left lil’ bro here with g’ma and g’pa)  The poor competitor couldn’t even hold his head up the last hour and half of the drive home.  As soon as we got to the house he crawled right into bed. And then they both spent the next day in their pjs.  LOL

Thanks for reading my braggy blog!  🙂
Blessings friends!
